Who says that only unhealthy food is yummy?

I’ve been bloated the last few days, mainly because of the fact that my period is approaching. I was just lamenting (and whining to be exact) to Natsu about gaining weight and bloatedness and we decided to have a more active and healthy lifestyle.

In fact, the first thing I did was signing up for the GE 10k after hearing so much about it from Natsu. That woman really makes me feel inspired!

We decided to go makan at Cedele with two other friends after reading about it.

We decided to order lots of items to share. More variety that way.

The Burmese Shan Tofu ($8.50) is made with balsamic vinaigrette and fragranced with fresh coriander leaves, garlic and onion flakes. Personally I really didn’t like it. I found it too sour, perhaps due to the balsamic vinaigrette. Sour to the point that I though the tofu was spoiled. Natsu really enjoyed this dish though!

I really enjoyed the Grills & Greens though. We shared the Grilled Wild Seabass & Shrimp Tango ($15.80) and chose the Orange Wholegrain Mustard dressing. I usually do not take fish as I do not like the fishy aftertaste and most places do not prepare them well. However the seabass was really yummy! I love the healthy serving of vegetables. I do think that the whole dish is really way too much for one person, so it’ll be better to order and share it with someone.

We decided to be adventurous and order the Rose Laksa Pasta ($16.90). It’s described as a winner of east/west taste combination of Spicy Tomato Basil Pasta topped with shredded Burmese Curry Chicken & finished generously with Garlic & Shallot Flakes, Toasted Sesame Seeds, Fresh Coriander Leaves & Lime Juice. It’s really an interesting dish! You can really taste the laksa and it isn’t too overpowering.

We also decided to try 2 types of pancakes.

We shared the Mushroom Onion Pancake ($13.90) which basically consists of fresh mushrooms, spring onion and coriander leaves pancakes with bacon rashers, grilled tomato & balsamic + olive oil dressed salad leaves. This was another favourite of mine. As you already know, I’m a big fan of salad, so I really attacked the salad here. The bacon rashers were a tad burnt though.

For dessert, we ordered the Wild Blueberry Pancake ($12.90). I found it really weird that they served it with salad.  Was so-so for me.

We had the Caramel Sea salt and Earl Grey & Fig ice cream ($6.00). Do you know that their icecreams do not contain eggs? Definitely vegetarian friendly. Not only that, their icecreams do not contain trans fat. It tastes really yummy too!

To end it off, I had the Iced Chocolate ($5.50). Nice and not too sweet.

My friends and I had a great time at Cedele and I’ll definitely be back to eat the grills and greens! Am planning to go there soon with Ching Chong Boy!

I think eating healthily and exercising would also help reduce cramps. Do try to cut down on salty foods and coffee as those are a great factor in water retention and bloatedness.
