Guess what? Today is the day where HBO’s half-hour comedy series “Flight of the Conchords” kicks off!
WHAT?! You’ve never heard of Flight of the Conchords?! OH COME ON! Listen to this!
They’re hilarious! I absolutely adore Jemaine! That’s my kind of geek. DELICIOUS.
Anyway, enough of me drooling over Jemaine! I was invited by the kind folks (super big thanks to Su Min!) of Text 100 to be one of the exclusive few to catch the screening of a few episodes of Flight of the Conchords. If you thought the youtube vid was funny, you’ll be rolling on the floor laughing with the comedy series!
Before the screening, we had a mini tour of HBO Asia and the office is fabulous! I had brought my best friend thebeanmaster to the event and he seemed really impressed with the place. I bet he’s soooo gonna apply for a job there once he graduates!
Anyway, I was tagged some time ago and here’s my take!
Ep 1: Jemaine attends Dave’s party and scores a date with a hot chick, only to realise she’s Bret’s ex. Would you go out with your best friend’s ex?
NEVER!!!! Friends before boyfriends. I don’t believe in dating even close friend’s ex-es. It’s just such a big no-no. And I SO do not want to be considered as a leftover or date leftovers!
Ep 2: Faced with the prospect of a dwindling cashflow, Bret is forced to hold signs (“Hot Dogs”) at a busy NYC street corner. What was your worst temp job experience?
This is a toughie. I can’t choose between sorting mail at SingPost or selling postcards. Both were yawnssssssssssss.
Ep 3: Bret loses Jemaine’s trust after Bret abandons him when they get mugged. Would you leave your best friend in the lurch when confronted by parang-wielding Ah Bengs?
I won’t! Either we run together or we kick those Ah Bengs in the groins together!
