[Invited Food Tasting Event]
I was invited by Food News PR for a Brunch Food Tasting event at Salt Grill & Sky Bar not too long ago. I had the pleasure of Shasha (from Food News), Esther and Elaine as my dining companions.
I have heard of Salt Grill & Sky Bar from friends, fellow food bloggers but this was actually the first time I visited it.
Upon reaching the restaurant, I realised that this was not the first restaurant by Luke Mangan that I’ve visited. Last year I visited Salt Tapas & Bar!
Salt grill and Sky bar is a modern Australian all-day restaurant by celebrity chef- restaurateur Luke Mangan. It’s conveniently located at ION Orchard on the 55th and 56th floors and has been highly raved due to it’s choice offerings, service and great view. If you are looking for Weekend Brunch, I would highly recommend Salt Grill & Sky Bar.
We were invited to sample their latest Weekend Brunch menu.
Salt Grill & Sky Bar has created a rather interesting Weekend Brunch called ‘Make Your Own Brunch’ Platter. The menu features 4 main dishes alongside 8 side dishes where diners can mix and match their very own brunch.
Diners choose a main and 2 sides to create their very own brunch. At $40++, brunch also consists of a glass of freshly squeezed juice and a choice of coffee or tea.
Choices for the sides consists of:
– Baked Beans
– Bacon
– Grilled Tomatoes with Olive Oil & Sea Salt
– Grilled Wagyu Sausage
– Home Made Crumpets
– Roast Mushrooms with Garlic Butter
– Avocado
– Rocket and Pear Salad with Blue Cheese and Caramelised Walnuts.
Choices for the mains consists of:
The Full Aussie Breakfast: Eggs served in any way, grilled toast, bacon, spinach and mixed mushrooms.
French Toast: Eggs served in any way, bacon, spinach and mixed mushrooms
Eggs Benedict: Poached eggs served with salmon gravlax, house-made crumpets, spinach and hollandaise sauce.
Butter Milk Pancakes: Butter milk pancakes served with brûlée bananas and home made maple syrup ice-cream.
All 4 mains were amazing! But if I were to choose my two favourites, it would have to be the Eggs Benedict and Butter Milk Pancakes as the Eggs Benedict tasted great with the salmon (though I would prefer it a tad more runny) and the Maple Syrup ice-cream was delightful!
My 2 favourite sides were the roast mushrooms with garlic butter and grilled wagyu sausage.
I would highly recommend going there for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day..
Or even for a lovely tai tai time with the girls or with family! The ‘Make Your Own’ Brunch Platter menu at Salt grill & Sky bar is priced at $40++ and is available on Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays from 11am to 2pm. I would highly encourage making reservations before hand!
But please, if you’re gonna bring a kiddo to such a romantic place, please make sure that they are well behaved. Great example was this kid in front of us.
I was already thinking of when I could visit Salt Grill & Sky Bar here.
Thanks Food News PR and Salt Grill & Sky Bar for the lovely invite!
