Remember my previous posts: An extraordinary time at Sofitel So Bangkok and Second part of the minimoon in Sofitel Krabi? This time, the kind folks from ICON and Sofitel hosted me for 2 nights at their other Sofitel hotel in Bangkok: Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit! This was part of a 5D4N trip with Jace and Fidel with our respective significant others! Both Jace and I stayed for 2 nights at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit and she went off to Sofitel So Bangkok while I stayed in another hotel with Fidel + Leon after that! More about that later!
We both took half day the day before Hari Raya. Maximising our leave! Half day leave and we got to go for a 5 days trip! WOOHOO! There was nothing much to say about the plane ride and we soon reached The land of Smiles!
Tip: Get a prepaid card at the airport. There are plenty there, so take your pick!

While I loved the decor of Sofitel So Bangkok, it’s sister hotel Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit was at a great location! This is definitely one of the hotels I’ll recommend while choosing where to stay in Bangkok!
As usual, I’ll start with some background info of Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit:

We checked in promptly and were ushered to our room.

The 3 Opera Suites and 2 Imperial Suites offer terraces with sweeping views over the Bangkok skyline.
All rooms are elegantly appointed and feature spacious marble bathrooms with a separate shower and exclusive L’Occitane bathroom amenities (Hermès bathroom amenities in Luxury Club Millésime rooms and the Suites). Sink into the embrace of Sofitel’s MyBed™, with an array of pillows to choose from. Other amenities include broadband and wireless internet access, satellite/cable large-screen smart LED TV, an interactive entertainment system, Bose wave music systems, a large personal safety box, and complimentary coffee and tea facilities. Suites and Luxury Club Millésime rooms offer a Bose home theatre sound systems and an in-room Espresso machine.

The bed was so comfy! I loved the bathtub and the lovely Hermes toiletries!
We met up with Jace+Ben and went to the lovely T&K for seafood! (More about that in another entry) and when we came back…
The lovely staff prepped the turn down service for us 🙂
We were also spoiled with Club Lounge benefits.
Located on the 31st floor, Club Millésime is a haven for business travellers who expect personalised and impeccable service in the exclusive atmosphere of a private club. Members can make use of an array of meeting facilities, including a boardroom, wireless internet access and local calls to name a few, while an all-day lounge features breakfast, snacks, refreshments, evening cocktails and a wide selection of French, vintage and new world wines. Club Millésime access is extended to guests staying at the hotel’s Luxury Club Millésime rooms and the Suites.

While the variety wasn’t as much as their main restaurant Voila, it offers a more private dining experience. Plus, one can always order from the alacarte menu at no extra charge!
After breakfast, we took a short tour around the hotel!
The swimming pool looked divine! Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to spare some time for a much needed dip 🙁
I fell in love with the Le Macaron Cafe. A charming patisserie and delicatessen with an inviting outdoor terrace that features a vast selection of pastries, desserts, and savory items from our team of in house chefs. A showcase for the finest gourmet items from around the world. Crispy meringues and hand-made chocolates to fruit brioches and delicatessen products. Needless to say, le BFF and I went gaga over the macarons.
Jace and I left the hubs to their own devices while we indulged in a relaxing massage. The masseuse soothed my aches and pains away with her strong hands and I was glad that I went for the massage. It was extremely relaxing!
We then met up with our hubs and guessed what were they entertaining themselves with?
Enjoying evening cocktails and canapes at the Club! Tsk tsp!
Needless to say, we girls soon joined in with our cocktails. Seriously can’t leave our hubbies alone, they’ll just drink drink drink!
I made full use of the facilities..
See my tummy sticking out? That’s the reason I went for a solo jog at midnight! The hubby wanted to go for a massage nearby and I decided to run for 30 minutes!
Felt so much better after that!
Had a long soak in the bathtub while watching Glee after that! Super indulgence!

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit wowed me with it’s service and prime location. Traveling to anywhere was really convenient for us! Needless to say, we were extremely sad to say goodbye to Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit.
If you were to ask me which would I have preferred? It would be a tough choice. Both Sofitel So Bangkok and Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit had it’s plus points.
