Soooooo… As some of you guys may have realised, I cut my hair short. Again. HAHAHAHA. I had wanted to grow it to shoulder length hair but couldn’t resist cutting it short again. Weather has been rather humid and I decided to well, just do it. I paid a visit to Shunji Matsuo 313 and visited my trusty hairstylist Caely Tham!
Originally, this was my hair length. I had wanted to go for the concave bob that Caely had cut for me previously but she persuaded me to go even shorter.
She decided on a textured bob for me as it framed my face better and was a volumising style.
It’s longer in the front and extremely short at the back. It’s extremely fuss free and makes for easy styling. I don’t even have to blow-dry my hair now. It’s essentially wash and wear!
Tucked behind the ears gives it a different look. It’s basically two different looks which can be worn in different styles as you can see from the pictures above!
For colour, we went for a balayage and ombre style combo. She added colours, a lovely beige brown at the tips to give it more definition and texture. It allows for a deep base, which is perfect if you do not have the time to touch up your roots often (infact, I have yet to visit Caely for close to two months now!) and uses a “painting technique” where you can’t exactly see the starting point of the colour unlike highlights which starts from the roots and is very obvious when grown out.
This is really the shortest I’ve gone since more than 10 years ago! Caely always never fails to surprise me!
