Skai and I was invited by the kind folks of Spa Detour for a couple massage. I had actually wanted to host a mystery makan + activity with the girls there but our scheduled all clashed 🙁
So I decided to go for a couple spa session instead! Plus I’ve been suffering from very bad backaches recently and I needed a massage like pronto!
Spa Detour is actually by the same folks from Duck and Hippo! I spoke to the manager in charge that day and he mentioned that Spa Detour was conceived to offer a place for a great break from the busy hustles of life. Basically, a hideout, a breakaway where there isn’t any hard selling of scary packages.

Personally I really liked the whole look of the place! As I’m currently researching about the various themes and styles for my upcoming BTO (an entry will be up on that soon!), I’ve been bio-ing places with Modern Industrial styles!
They offer various services like a fish spa, sleep spa, full body massages, foot reflexology, facials, neck and shoulder massages, manicures and pedicures in a screening room!
We absolutely adore the whole look of Spa Detour!
We were ushered into the Rainforest room which was a couple room. I had booked the Deep Scrub and Aromatherapy Massage for both of us.

Deep Scrub, 30 mins for $73
Scrub your way to smoother skin with our scrubs infused with lavender essential oils. Choose from the cream based scrub for gentle exfoliation, or a mineral salt scrub should you desire for something stronger. Body scrubs help to remove the dead skin layer and expose youthful looking skin. Use a scrub to remove skin that turned rough and dull due to pollution or sun exposure and feel fresh and rejuvenated again. Lavender is an excellent soothing agent, making it the favored choice of scrub for those suffering from stress, tension and anxiety.
Aromatherapy Massage, 60 mins for $127
Ideal for a time-out relaxation after a long day of whatever it is that you do. Carefully blended essential oil of bergamot and lavender is applied in long sweeping strokes to warm the skin. Expect deeper massage, rolling and squeezing of the skin and underlying muscles to lull you into a relaxing state.
We were in extreme bliss. Skai enjoyed it so much that he had wanted to extend the massage! Unfortunately we had booked a movie after that and couldn’t do so 🙁
After the massage and scrub, we chilled out at the cafe area.
We ordered a slice of cheesecake and chocolate cake. A real pleasant area to enjoy some light snacks!
Overall, we had an extremely great experience and would be back really soon for another massage! I think they’ll be very suitable for Bridal Spa parties, Couple Massages, Birthday parties, Hen’s nights and Pampering sessions for Mother – Daughter day out!
