As mentioned in my previous post, we explored Montigo Resorts and shared pictures of the beautiful villa. This time, I’ll be sharing about the makan places plus the heavenly spa treatment!
First up…. TAAD’s!
We had lunch at TAAD’s which served a variety of cuisines: Western, Asian, Fushion and of course Indonesian fare.
The c(hubby) had the Montigo Ayam Panggang Berempah which consisted of an oven roasted spring chicken, spiced long bean, prawn crackers, sambal. It actually comes with steamed rice but we asked to top up to fried rice instead. He loves this! Though it was super delicious and wasn’t too spicy for him.
For me, I had the…
Mee Goreng. I have heard so much of their Mee Goreng from fellow bloggers and read reviews about it. Needless to say, it didn’t disappoint. It came with fried noodles, prawns, cabbages, beef sate, chicken wing and an egg. It was very flavourful and I loved that I could sample a bit of everything without feeling too jelak. A must try!
We really enjoyed ourselves and the service was great! Super attentive and friendly.
We returned the next morning for the buffet breakfast at TAAD’s.
They had such a good variety of local fare! My personal favourite was the noodles and congee!
We splurged on the In-Villa Barbecue that night.
We thought it was romantic to have a private barbeque in our villa for just the two of us.
We chose the Montigo Surf and Turf which consisted of: 120grams of Beef Tenderloin, 150grams of Half Spring Chicken, 180grams of Rosemary Lamb Chops, 80grams of squid, 160grams of King Prawns, 160grams of Basil Snapper Fillet, Salad, Fruit Platter and Snacks.
Pretty set up in our terrace. It might be better to have dinner a bit earlier as it got quite dark really soon. Would be really romantic to have dinner while the sun sets!
It came with a dedicated chef.
And dedicated server. I think that the food was really yummy however the portions were a bit small. I highly recommend ordering more items! The bbq amounted to almost 50 bucks per person but I think it was really well spent!
Last but definitely not least, we visited Montigo’s Spa.
We enjoyed a refreshing welcome drink which definitely hit the spot.
For our massage, we could choose between 4 different oils to suit our needs.
C(hubby) chose Energizing which consisted of Passion, Lime, Ginger, Orange, Rose and Grapefruit. A very fruity scent that will help perk him up!
I chose Revitalize which consisted of different blends of ginger, blackpepper and peppermint essential oils. Perfect for those achy joints and I personally am a huge fan of ginger!
Perfect way to end our trip! We were so reluctant to head back to Singapore. Thank you Montigo Resorts for the great experience! We will be sure to come back this year!
