A month or so back, our little family of three went for a Singapore staycation at Oasia Hotel Downtown. I think I’m pretty much out of touch with Singapore Staycations now, there’s so many new hotels that popped up and the packages are amazing!
Skai and I used to go for romantic / couple staycations back in the past and now with our lil family of three (and expanding soon), we tend to opt for staycations with more facilities such as pools or family friendly places.
I first saw Oasia Hotel Downtown as it was located very close to Teppei, one of my favourite Japanese Omakase restaurants!
The hotel is located in the downtown Tanjong Pagar area which is conveniently located close to Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. Lots of eateries from restaurants, local delights in hawker centres and cafes are located very close by.
We checked in a Club Room which came with access to the Club Floor, Club Lounge and Infinity Pool on Level 21. Do take note that kids are not permitted to enter the Club Lounge. Luckily that day, Aidan was due to spend time with my in-laws for dinner, so we managed to steal away a few hours for a date night!
The Club Room that we stayed in had a lovely view of the club infinity pool. I liked how they offered complimentary in-room wellness drinks in the minibar (coconut juice!) and also a Nespresso Coffee Machine.
Last but definitely not least, I’m always pleased with bathtubs in hotel rooms. It’s my favourite item (alongside Club Lounge facilities) in Staycations. It’s a great time for a relaxing soak in the bathtub, plus it’s so much easier to bathe Aidan!
I liked how the staff noticed that we had a young child with us and also prepared a cot for us. Super attentive!
The highlight for any staycation for Aidan would have to be the swimming pool! There were two different pools available and we checked out both. One was at the Rooftop while the other was at the Club Lounge floor, at level 21.
We decided to hang out at the Club Infinity Pool instead where we all had a fun time playing with water. We soon left Aidan with my in-laws for a few hours where Skai and I prepared for our date night.
As part of the Club Lounge facilities, there was complimentary evening cocktails and canapés spread from 6pm – 8pm. Skai enjoyed himself with the free-flow alcohol while I enjoyed a lovely chocolate milkshake with the lovely canapés.
After some light bites, we visited the surroundings to my favourite gyoza restaurant (cos no raw food for now, sadly!) for a quick dinner before picking Aidan up. I love the eateries nearby Oasia Hotel Downtown. Really home to good food! Am so gonna book another staycation after I have popped!
The bed was super comfy that Aidan fell asleep shortly!
Looks like we will be on the hunt to check out more staycations in Singapore! Since it’ll be tough for us to travel for a while, a staycation is the next best alternative 😉
