As some of you guys have read from one of my wedding prep posts, I had a staycation at Orchard Hotel 2 weeks prior to my ROM. The main purpose was to relax, enjoy and also to have my bridal makeup trial here.
I stayed in Orchard Hotel eons ago back when I was working in MediaCorp Radio organising events such as Singapore Parenting Congress and Marriage Convention. Orchard Hotel alongside Furama Riverfront Hotel were the favourite hotels we chose due to their large ballrooms and affordable rates.
So, when the hubby (feels weird and yet so right to call him that!) was suggesting a staycation in town (as compared to our many staycations elsewhere), the first hotel I thought of was Orchard Hotel.
Unfortunately for us, it was raining cats and dogs when we arrived. From our initial plans of gallivanting around town, we had to really stay put during our staycation. We decided to have our lunch at Noodles.
Noodles is Orchard Hotel’s latest F&B outlet which features handmade Cantonese noodles and yummilicious dumplings.
As I was on a low carb diet, the hubby indulged in a bowl of noodles while we both shared the dumplings and some vegetables. The hubby mentioned that the noodles were the best he had (I don’t know if he was being overly dramatic cos he was sooooo damn hungry) He mentioned it was rather QQ. For me, I felt that the vegetables were rather bland. But the dumplings were fantastic! The dough wasn’t too thick and the soup was delicious!
Food there was good and I think it’s rather affordable compared to other Chinese restaurants. I had started this entry wanting to blog about the staycation but my eyes are closing :p
Will continue about the staycation in another post! Look out for it soon!
