As mentioned in my previous post, we had a staycation at Orchard Hotel 2 weeks prior to my ROM.
We had a lovely guest relations officer who attended to us when checking in and made sure that everything went well. Definitely one of the hotels with good customer service! *thumbs up*
Pictures of our deluxe room!
Very comfy room with the usual amenities. Pity they do not offer the fully stocked minibar that’s free for guests like Wanderlust and Oasia hotel. Thankfully we were offered Club lounge services where there’s free flow of drinks available.
For those who are wondering about Club lounge services, some rooms that you’ve booked on the Club Floor are given Club lounge services where you can choose to have your breakfast there instead of the normal dining areas. There are usually soft drinks, tea and coffee available at the Club Lounge at most times. During tea times (or happy hour times depending on certain hotels), there will be canapes/snacks offered plus alcohol e.g. wine, beer and cocktails.
Usually the Club Lounge is a nice and quiet place to enjoy a nice cup of tea, chit chat with some friends.
You can also use the computers there. There are printing services available too, but at a nominal fee.
As it was STILL raining that day, we decided to go for dinner in the hotel.

But before that, a light snack at their Club Lounge! With my favourite Coke Light :p
We headed to Orchard Cafe to have our buffet dinner. (For those who were wondering, it was at S$58++ per person).
The international buffet spread was rather extensive however the seafood selection wasn’t up to Ching Chong Boy’s liking. (He loves oysters and was so disappointed that there wasnt any). Personally, I was happy with the fresh sashimi and crab legs! (my favourite!) The cheese selection was great!
Was it worth it? I felt that it was pretty good but the boy didn’t think so. Those who have eaten at Orchard Cafe before, what do you think? Comment!
Overall, I had a great experience at Orchard Hotel. The rooms were plushy and comfy. Location was great too. However I can’t decide if I prefer comfort over uniqueness of boutique hotels.
Can’t wait for our next staycation. Any recommendations?
