As some of you guys may know, I got pregnant last year and gave birth early this year. After giving birth, I was horrified when I saw the increase in my hair fall. Apparently I was not immune to the dreaded postnatal hair loss. I checked with my fellow mummy group and most of them also faced postnatal hair loss, even the youngest which is years younger than me! All of us mamas of all ages were not spared!
I realised that after giving birth, due to stress, hormonal changes, us women are prone to hair loss. During this very sad period, we tend to ‘shed’ hair and suffer from weak hair roots. It takes months and even years for some to get over the postnatal hair loss stage.
I was happy to be introduced to Plantur 21 which is part of the Dr. Wolff Group, a fourth-generation Germany family business specialising in research, development and marketing of highly innovative cosmetic and pharmaceutical products with more than 80 years of experience with dermatology and galenic formula.
Plantur 21 is exclusively directed at young women between ages of 21 and 39. The products help solve problems that naturally occur during this stage of life due to stressful life situations such as stress or nutritional deficiencies (i.e. not health disorders).
The Plantur 21 shampoo provides an effective solution for weak hair roots and helps combat poor hair growth.
I heard from the Plantur21 folks that if their products are used regularly, the Nutri- Caffeine Complex gives hair roots the energy boosts that they desperately lack of. Plantur 21 Caffeine supports the energy supply and helps to reduce hair loss. In addition, the valuable micronutrients biotin, magnesium, calcium and zinc support the supply of the hair roots.
I’ve started using the Plantur 21 shampoo ($18.90) daily hoping that it ensures enough sufficient energy supply to the hair roots. All it takes is a 2 minutes application on the scalp for the Nutri-caffeine complex to help penetrate the hair roots after that a rinse off. It is safe to be used during pregnancy too!
I also liked that the shampoo does not contain any silicones which tends to weigh down the hair, which was perfect for my fine hair!
Both the shampoo and conditioner picked for me were especially used for dull, colour-treated and stressed hair like mine!
The Plantur 21 Nutri-conditioner ($12.90), like the shampoo was pleasant smelling and easy to use. There was no oily nor greasy residue after washing off.
The Plantur 21 Nutri-Caffeine Elixir ($19.90) is a scalp tonic that helps to combats poor hair growth by helping to speed up the process of normalisation of hair growth cycle and strengthening hair growth. Currently I’m using it day and night.
I guess one mistake that I made previously was not using any hair loss products earlier. I should have prevented hair loss by using products such as Plantur 21 to help prevent hair loss.
In the meantime, I’ll continue Plantur21! Will be trying it for a longer period and will update you guys on how it goes!
If you’ll like to check out the Plantur21 range, it is available in Guardian, selected Watsons, Unity, NTUC FairPrice, Cold Storage, Giant NHG and independent pharmacies.
