It’s been a while since there was a Thursday’s Travels piece and I decided it’s about that I moved my lazy ass!
We’re coming to an end of #nadskaihoneymoon! Final two legs! Honestly, we never really had much of a desire to visit Milan. I was more interested in Amsterdam and Paris while Skai aka c(hubby) was more keen on Venice and Florence. But for us, Milan was essentially a pitstop for us before heading to Paris.
Before I begin with my picture spam, just like to share some basic costs.
We stayed in the tiniest Airbnb ever. It was quite cheap though. We paid SGD$230 for 2 nights stay. (though we only checked in late that day. Basically we had about 1.5 days in Milan)
Because we arrived late at night, we decided to sleep in and explore the next day.
The weather was pretty gloomy that day and even started pouring right after this picture was taken.
We still managed to check out the Duomos there. We checked out the Duomo Di Milano and Santa Maria dell Grazie.
We also managed to visit the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. Previously a castle in the 15th century, Castello Sforzesco now houses art collections and museums.
And had fun at one of their art installations. LOL
Useless wife camwhoring while hubby looks at maps.
We also did a bit of window shopping. From looking at bags…
To checking out AC Milan. Because we were in Milan. :p
To stuffing our faces in this lovely chocolate place.
To enjoying gyoza, fried chicken and knocking back a few beers at a lovely Japanese place.
To enjoying seafood risotto, steak and wine on our very last day in Milan. We spent like less than 36 hours in Milan. Ended way too fast 🙁
And off we were to a sleeper train to Paris (which costed us EUR283.50 for the trip)
Really nothing much to say about Milan as it was mainly a pitstop. Will blog about the final leg, Paris soon, i think! It’ll definitely have to be before my Maldives trip!
