I did a non surgical enhancement recently… I always had a problem with my dark eye circles and eye bags.
Even with makeup, the eyebags are still horrendous. I can conceal the dark eye circles but nothing can help the eyebags.
I have read about fillers from other bloggers and I finally made the plunge to get rid of my baggage.
I made an appointment with Dr Elias Tam from EHA Clinic after some recommendations. Did a check with the mothership (who works in an esthetic clinic) and she gave the go-ahead.
After a quick consultation, he recommended that I do the Stylage fillers which would last close to a year. He would inject them at the eye bags area and touch up if needed after my review.
If you’ve read my eyebrow embroidery entry, you’ll find the steps rather familiar.
They first cleansed off my eye makeup (I kept my eyeliner on) and applied numbing cream. They left the numbing cream on for 30 minutes.
They then injected the fillers into both eye bags area. As I had a huge fear of needles, Dr Elias Tam had kindly tolerated my nonsensical whines and all. Ching Chong Boy had also kindly waited for me patiently and took some pictures for me.
The injections did not hurt at all due to the numbing cream. To be honest, the eyebrow embroidery experience was more painful than the fillers. I only felt a small prick. (But I still freaked out lah.)
The end result! Of course the dark eye circles are still there (fillers do not “cure” dark eye circles) but the eye bags are reduced significantly.
I am pretty pleased with the results and I think the money spent was quite worth it. Only thing.. I really do hope it’ll last a year!

By the way.. I’ve always thought fillers are used for ‘fill-up’ purposes…
They actually can get rid of eyebags..?
Are ya able to see a significant difference before and after?
( I can’t really find your past pics with serious eye bags you see.. heh..)

It helps with the eyebags, I figured since I could conceal the dark eye circles with concealer, the eye bags problem was more worrying for me.
I am still searching for a remedy for dark eye circles, will share if I’ve found any!

I’m not sure if this is helpful, but I heard that sleeping 18 hrs a day will reduce panda eyes. If works for my cousin!

I had this done in Feb 2010 when I was in KL, the results lasted me almost 2 years…my hollow under eyes are back now but it still looks slightly better than it was before I had the injection. I am going to go back and get it filled again very soon! The product used under my eyes was Teosyal, a hyaluronic acid like juvederm and resytlane…it’s so worth it considering I paid RM1000 and only have to get it done every 1.5 to 2 years. I get to save money because I don’t need to buy designer eye creams that don’t work or use concealer…no more concealer seriously, it turns out that the dark circles I had were just shadows that needed to be filled in.
