So for the last Mystery Makan, Esther planned for us to visit Alati. After that, was my turn!
For long time blog readers (if you are still reading this dusty old blog that is), you would probably remember about the Mystery Makan series I used to blog about.
Back in 2010, I started this #mysterymakan tradition with Jacelyn, Esther and Fidelis. Each of us would take turns planning makan outings and would only reveal the address on the day itself with no other details. With the Mystery Makan tradition, we visited new places and tried new food! It’s really fun and we all look forward to our Mystery Makan sessions.
Just a recap of all of the “Mystery Makan episodes” I blogged back then in this Singapore Lifestyle Blog.
Other Mystery Makan sessions previously:
- Eat Play Love
- Table Manners
- Ardent’s
- Old School Delight
- Queen’s Dessert Cafe Bistro
- Epicurious
- Box N Sticks
- Tea Cosy

- Porn’s
- Nanjya Monjya
- With a Pinch of Salt
- Bodacious Bar & Bistro

I first saw Set of Six on Instagram. Back then, it was quite low key and I thought it was the perfect place for our Mystery Makan.
I researched and found out that Set of Six was a speakeasy bar which is a “hidden” bar that is very exclusive and only accessible to some.
I have only seen speakeasy bars from Gossip Girl (lol!) so I was quite intrigued by this concept. Organised the MM and we loved the place.
Decor was pretty, drinks were good. Only gripe was the variety of food. But then, it’s a bar, not a cafe so that’s just me nitpicking.

Snapping my ootd outside before heading to Set of Six.
Always fun with my girls! Can’t wait for the next Mystery Makan!
