After Jacelyn‘s Mystery Makan to The Summerhouse, it was time for Fidel’s Mystery Makan!
For long time blog readers (if you are still reading this dusty old blog that is), you would probably remember about the Mystery Makan series I used to blog about.
Back in 2010, I started this #mysterymakan tradition with Jacelyn, Esther and Fidelis. Each of us would take turns planning makan outings and would only reveal the address on the day itself with no other details. With the Mystery Makan tradition, we visited new places and tried new food! It’s really fun and we all look forward to our Mystery Makan sessions.
Just a recap of all of the “Mystery Makan episodes” I blogged back then in this Singapore Lifestyle Blog.
Other Mystery Makan sessions previously:
- Eat Play Love
- Table Manners

- With a Pinch of Salt

Fidel brought us to a famous Korean BBQ located in Cross Street. We didn’t have the most enjoyable experience there so I won’t be sharing much about the place haha.
All in all, I will just say, the food and drinks are good. However service is very slow and the dining time is too short. Considering that it took a while for them to take our orders and for food to be served, it really felt too short. We had lots of food and drinks wastage at the end as the food took too long to be served and they were strict with the dining time.
If you do decide to visit the place, just go makan, don’t bother with drinks as there isn’t time to enjoy your drink.
As much as dining time has been reduced due to probably Covid situation, I feel that Korean bbqs would require more time. That being said, I would definitely recommend other BBQs instead especially as there are plenty around that stretch.
We were soooo unsatisfied with our experience that we went for drinks (since we couldn’t finish our Watermelon Soju earlier) at Chico Loco nearby.
Definitely ended the day on a better note with drinks!
Will share on Esther’s Mystery Makan next!
