We actually celebrated my actual birthday at Prive with a delicious dinner but for the weekend, the boy had booked a room at Moon Hotel. He was searching for Staycations in Singapore and read that Moon Hotel was suitable for couples. Together with it’s rather affordable price and good location, he chose Moon Hotel.
We were rather surprised when we checked in. The room was small, tiny in fact.
There was a tiny cupboard for us to put our stuff and a mini fridge with free drinks (yay!)
It was even tinier than Wanderlust!
I guess, if you were going out and just needed a bed to rest, Moon Hotel will be quite suitable for you. I found the place a bit too small for my liking.
Another thing I disliked about the room was that there was no shower curtain or blinds whatsoever, so if you were sharing the room with a friend or family, you can see the other person bathing or using the toilet!
So shy can?!
No wonder, it’s suitable for couples.. more like for a rendezvous 😡
In any case, perhaps the room he chose wasn’t suitable, I don’t know. Maybe a bigger room at Moon Hotel would have been better.
Well, at least the Singapore Sling at their bar was quite nice! I liked it!
Some pictures of the buffet spread.
Simple and yummy breakfast.
I guess, with choosing a Staycation in Singapore, there are bound to be some hits and misses. While the room wasn’t satisfactory to me, (but Ching Chong Boy thought it was fine), the food and service was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had problems with the TV and they came up to our rooms upteenth times to help us.
The only hiccup was before we checked out, they didn’t check if we were in the room, they just opened the room door and we jumped in fright. Thankfully we were packing our bags then. Imagine if we were changing, showering (with the see through washroom -_-) or whatsoever, it would have turned out to be a rather unpleasant and awkward moment. But I’m sure it was just an isolated incident.
In any case, if you are keen to check out Moon Hotel, they are situated at:

Thanks for the honest review! I was searching for hotels for a friend who is visiting Singapore and I thought this could be a decent choice. I checked out the price and was quite shock to see how expensive it is for such a small room! There has to be better hotels in Singapore for this price range.
