I had to work that day as I had a lot of work outstanding after my Taiwan work trip a few days before my birthday.
Imagine my surprise when I received a bouquet of flowers!
I didn’t think it was ChingChongBoy at first as I had discussed with him earlier and emphasized not to buy any flowers this year i.e. save more moolah for marriage.
Turns out that the boy still wanted to surprise me. A lovely bouquet for birthday and vday. LOL!
Had a lovely birthday lunch with the colleagues at Soup Restaurant as I was seriously craving for the damn yummy chicken. They must have added something addictive into the ginger cos I crave that every other week!
Darling Jem and Christine got me my first Deborah Lippman’s nailpolish. Thanks sweeties!
Was counting down to the end of the workday as ChingChongBoy had promised a yummylicious dinner.
He brought me to Prive! Lovely restaurant at Keppel Bay. Great service, beautiful ambience and delicious food. Btw, I blogged about my outfit here.
We ordered the Escargot, Foie Gras, Steak and Pork.
The Seared French Escargot ($18) was different from the usual style of cooking (garlic butter usually right?)_, I tought iot was very yummy but if you are on a budget, skip this and go for the Foie gras, Steak and pork only.
THE PAN SEARED DUCK FOIE GRAS ($24) WAS TO DIE FOR. MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH AND WENT DOWN REALLY SMOOTH.
It.was.so.damn.good.
Don’t be silly and order ONE Foie gras to share. IT ISN’T ENOUGH. Go ahead and splurge. One per person is the minimum!
The only complain? Serving is so small. After a few bites, it was GONE! I was so disappointed!
The Eye of the Rib Eye ($58) was delicious! I chose the Rib Eye instead of the tenderloin as I had wanted a bigger portion as I thought the tenderloin’s portion sounded really small! It was really very tender! Turned out that the serving was a bit big though but I guess that was a happy problem. The beef was really tender, juicy and flavourful.
The sauces didn’t overpower the steak and I felt it was one of the most delicious steaks I’ve tried so far. (of course Mortons still rules supreme)
Ching Chong Boy had the Kurobuto Pork Rack ($52) instead. Very delish but can’t compare to the steak at all.
While we were just chit chatting, I was surprised with a slice of cake!
The boy had arranged with Prive to surprise me with a cake! Thanks baby ^^
It’s been a while since I had a birthday cake and I was really very pleased and surprised by this! 🙂
Thank you baby for the lovely birthday dinner 🙂
He also had planned a birthday staycation which I will share about it in the upcoming few posts.
Can’t wait to head back to Prive!
