Thanks to darling Fidelis, the hubby and I got invite to Magnum’s Make It Black / Make It Pink launch event.
The theme was to dress in black and/or pink and I used Kate Cosmetic’s Spring/Summer collection items (from the blogger event I attended a while back) to create my look.
Here’s the look.

I adore Kate’s Brightening Makeup Base for Cover. I feel that it gives not only a brightening, highlighting look, but also gives a more dewy result when combined with my foundation.
It’s been a while since I used foundation. I have been constantly using CC Cream and BB Cream these days that I actually felt clumsy using the Concealing Cover Powder Foundation (in shade OC-C). Admit-ably it does give great coverage and I didn’t have any cakey feeling at the end of the day. However, I’m still very comfortable using my liquids and creams.
I was a bit disappointed receiving this shade of Goldish Eyes. (Had wanted the pink instead) But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! The blue isn’t gawdy like in the SQ makeup looks. Instead it left a very subtle shimmer. The other shades were fab! The colour play was fantastic. As someone who loves her shimmer and glitter, I really liked this palette a lot!

I believe everyone does not need any introduction to Kate’s star product: The Gel Eye Liner. I first used this product ages ago, bought it in a drugstore in Taiwan and was HOOKED to it. Not only is it easy to apply, it’s long lasting too! Only problem is, if you have oily eyelids, it might smudge a bit. It smudged for my undereyes but stayed throughout for my eyelids.
As someone who hardly use falsies, I’m very dependant on my mascara. It was my first time using Kate’s mascara and I was surprised at how it not only managed to retain the curl but also gave me long lashes. I have replaced my Majolica Majorca mascara with this as it is much easier to remove!
