This is a Womanly Wednesdays – Beauty and hiaoness entry under my themed blogposts! For more info about this Singapore Lifestyle Blog themed posts, do read the entry here.
As mentioned in my previous Beauty Blogger Events blog post, I wrote that I visited the COLLECTION Cosmetics Makeup Party Bus event with Fidelis to check out their latest Urbanista range!
We were sent products from one of the 4 Urbanista Looks: The Boss, The Diva, The Lady and The Street Chic to try out. I chose The Lady.
Honestly, COLLECTION Cosmetics isn’t something foreign to me. I have some of their products that I used previously e.g. BB cream, eyeliner and mascara.
I brought along some of my products to the Rendezvous Hotel Staycation I had recently.
These are not ALL of my COLLECTION Cosmetics products. Just some of them. 😉
For this FOTD (Face of the day) entry, I’ll be using the products from The Lady range.
These are the full range of products under The Lady but I skipped the nail polish and lashes.
While the description of The Lady is supposed to be the Belle of the Ball with candied coats of soft pastel hues of pinks on the eyes and the cheeks for the romanticised girl next door look, I personally think that The Lady is a simple and yet easy look to use daily! It’s an everyday look that is safe for work and not too overpowering.
Here is my take on The Lady.
- For the eyes, I used Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil in Vintage Blush as a light eye colour on my eyelids with the Fast Stroke Eyeliner in Black for a thin eyeliner line, Work The Colour in Vanilla Sky for my waterline and Does It All 5 in 1 Mascara. The mascara contains 5 lash benefits: curling, columnising, lengthening, long wearing and conditioning. I do find that it’s rather easy to apply however I would still use the lash curler for an added oomph in the curl factor.
- I used the Shimmer Shades (side note: love them so much! highly recommended!) Blushalicious as a blusher and Way To Glow to contour my face lightly.
- For the brows, I used Work The Colour Eyebrow Kit. It comes in a built-in mirror with three blendable brow powders. I lightly filled in the brows and used the brush to help set the brows with the clear brow mascara.
- Last but definitely not least, I used the Urbanista Lip Crayon in After Hours. If you’ll like a more daring look, feel free to layer on more. For this look, I lightly applied and blotted. They have 8 different shades! Personally I have 3 of them! Will swatch them soon! Each Lip Crayon contains Vitamin E for a moisturised and soft finish and is extremely light weight. I do find that the formula is not as buttery as compared to other lip crayons though! I personally preferred Revlon’s lip crayons though. However I have to say that the Urbanista Lip Crayons aren’t too bad.
I think this is a different look as compared to my usual makeup looks! I usually line my lower waterline with dark eyeliner (one of the Urbanista looks: Street Chic also does so! Maybe I should try out that look!) The c(hubby) likes this look! He says it isn’t as “fierce” as my usual makeup looks.
I reapplied more of the Urbanista Lip Crayon for a redder look here and guess who decided to disturb me?
The products from COLLECTION Cosmetics are available in selected Watsons stores. Do check it out! While the products were sent for my review considerations, it is not obligatory to write this review. Just FYI!
