#FoodieFridays: Guo Tie and Mala in Chinatown

This is a Foodie Fridays – TGIF! It’s time to get fat on Fridays! entry under my themed blog posts! For more info about this Singapore Food themed blog posts, do read the entry here.

Last weekend, Skai aka c(hubby) and I were craving for Guo Tie. We had initially wanted to visit the famous Guo Tie place at Neil Road but yours truly delay delay delay until we couldn’t make it in time.

So… we were at a lost at first. Didn’t know where to go but we HAD to have our Guo Tie cravings satisfied.

I whipped out my trusty iPhone and started googling. Landed on a HardwareZone thread titled Guotie aptly and we soon made our way down to Fong Kee located at People’s Park Centre.

Funnily enough, we visit People’s Park Centre often for our foot reflexology sessions (old liao. Need our massages) but we’ve never patronised Fong Kee before.

Woohoo!

We also discovered a whole row of stalls selling Mala! I LOVE MALA! C(hubby) zoomed off to order and I had reminded him not to over order.

And this arrived.

HELLO! HOW IS THIS NOT OVERORDERING?! THIS IS ONLY FOR TWO PAX!

Our friend here ordered two types of guo tie!

And a HUGE bowl of Mala!

If I remember correctly, the Guo Tie was $12 and the Mala was $11. I thought that the Mala in People’s Park Centre was more affordable as compared to food courts! If you guys are craving for Mala or Guo Tie, do check out 32 New Market Road, People’s Park Centre!

Lovely meal though I couldn’t finish my share. Now, who wants to go for Mala and Guo Tie with me soon?!
