The kind Carrie invited Fidelis and I alongside our partners amongst other foodie bloggers for a food tasting session at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. This time, we’ll be trying their Oktoberfest menu!
In conjunction with Oktoberfest, Azur has launched their very own Oktoberfest menu featuring mouthwatering German style dishes alongside their usual fare of fresh seafood and other Asian dishes. However, I’ll just highlight on the Oktoberfest menu.
They served an assortment of yummy bread and pretzels which smelled and looked really delicious!
There were popular german dishes such as Bavarian Kaese Spaetzle with Emmental Cheese, Chouroute en Garnie with Mustard and Gravey and Goulaschsuppe with Herb Sour Cream & Garlic Croutons. The c(hubby) thoroughly enjoyed the Goulaschsuppe (Beef Goulash). There were plenty of beef cubes in this dish and it was such a delightful heartful dish. Heck, this could be a main course for me!
A must try is the Eggs Cocotte with Bacon Slab and Chives. We called it the “german chawanmushi”!
The main attraction to be was the Crispy Smoked Pork Knuckle which was served with a complimentary side of juniper scented sauerkraut with mustard and roasting gravy.
