Hello everyone! Today’s my birthday. LOL. As per my yearly tradition, it’s time to summarise my life into one post to see where I’ve failed and where I’ve succeeded.
Work: After 3.5 years handling Product Marketing in Asiasoft (and that’s not even counting the first time I was there!), I left for a Social Media position in a Creative Advertising Agency. Very different role, very different ‘clients’. Let’s see how things goes 😉
Family: Not in the best of health. For some reason, I feel even closer to them in the past year. I guess, I’ve become more homely? Would wanna go home for dinner often. Maybe the thought of me moving out soon kinda makes me wanna spend as much time as possible with them? In any case, like what I’ve always said: Family comes first. Always. Biggest change would be adopting a cat called Miu Miu. He has brought much more happiness to the fam, especially my dad who isn’t feeling so good.
Love: We had our Chinese Wedding Banquet last year, also had our honeymoon to Europe. This March, we’ll be heading to Maldives! Relationship has been going good. Way too good. Which is pretty much why we’re both packing the pounds. I feel that the past year has been the happiest so far in our relationship. Heh.
Health: The fatty is back! Gained weight! But that’s also because I stopped my low/no carb diet and stopped the hardcore exercise. Oops. Shall make it a point to strike a balance. Not hardcore again, but casually. Something that I can maintain in the long run. Nothing major happened in this aspect, just the more than occasional flu, migraines and stomach problems.
Friends: I’ve become more pickier. Maybe because I would rather spend more time with family, I now cut down on going out with friends or even other social events. I mainly hang out with a close few like the #MysteryMakan gang. That being said, I still catch up with friends via messages, Facebook etc. Just that I’ve kinda slacked on big parties, clubbing etc. Lao liao lah. Laoniang just wanna watch my Korean dramas at home and play with my cat.
Blogging: I’ve started to blog more regularly these days. I guess, with my themed posts, it really makes it more fun for me! I’ll soon be blogging about the next phase of my life: Owning my very own house! When it comes later this year, that is.
Thanks to everyone and anyone who has wished me a very happy birthday. As mentioned every year: birthdays just symbolises another year closer to the grave (to me). So love like you have never loved before, eat like you have never eaten before, live life like every day is your last.
Much love,
nadnut
