she had it all. a big house. a great career. loyal friends. a loving husband.
but yet, she wasnt happy. she felt broken instead of complete. she couldnt fathom why she had this feeling of overwhelming sadness.
what was wrong? people admired her. she had everything. thats what they said. she was beautiful, smart, good-hearted and witty.
when she told her friends she wasnt happy, they laughed at her. told her to stop joking. if her life wasnt perfect, they ought to shoot themselves, they said.
she stopped telling the truth. she smiled when she was crying inside. she was cheerful when she felt a hollow feeling inside.
she was perfect. she lived a perfect life.
and yet…
she wasnt happy. did she have everything?
yes. she had everything except…
happiness.
