This is a Thursday’s Travels – Anything about previous, current and future (upcoming) travel exploits entry under my themed blog posts! For more info about the themed blog posts, do read the entry here.
#nadskaihoneymoon happened this year. Due to some hoohah at work, I was extremely busy and c(hubby) has to plan for the whole honeymoon. (just as well, cos I planned the whole wedding aka #nadskai1314 hurhur).
We booked our trip very last minute honestly and our air tickets costed us S$1,373.60 each. We flew by Finn Air. Although it wasn’t a direct flight and there was a stopover, the trip was pleasant and the meals were delicious. Great service rendered!
Gorgeous blue skies and beautiful tulips greeted us. We took a train from the Airport to our hotel and lugged our luggages to the hotel.
The room was simple and adequate but most importantly, it was located in a good location. We stayed at Ibis Amsterdam and our damage was SGD$1,119.83 for 4 nights.
View from our room.
Armed with a camera, we soon explored the streets. We took it easy, for we had allocated a couple of days in Amsterdam and wanted to take things slow.
Some protest on the streets. Needless to say, we stayed away.
Hello boys! <3
Transportation was easy to get around. For us, we walked a lot however taking the trams, trains and buses were easy too! We hardly took cabs actually!
C(hubby) spotted some awesome bikes and started missing riding badly.
Lonely.
They had long days, so we went exploring till really late. Long days are rather useful I felt, it felt that we utilised the days really well!
Will share about Amsterdam in another Thursday’s Travels entry. This entry getting way too long!
While it may not be Caturday, we spotted this kitty in the Coffee Shop above! What a beauty!
What is a honeymoon without some camwhoring? 😉
Travel tip: You may wanna bring over some food, like for us, we brought Instant noodles and they did come in handy. However, not every accommodation would have a kettle. So do check!
#nadootd.
Should you have any questions, please holler in this entry. No, I do not have an itinerary to send to you, because, honestly, we did not plan what to do. We only planned the trains and air tickets and winged it. Most of the times, we decided where to go on the day itself.
Sorry, but #nadskai is the spontaneous sort. We see no reason to lead such a rigid schedule especially when it’s our honeymoon i.e. need to sleep in, need to be romantic (meaning no tours) and just follow our ‘feelings’ that day.
Will share some things to do, mainly advice given from my ex-colleague Ian who had stayed in Amsterdam. Till the next Thursday’s Travel entry! 😉
