As mentioned in my previous post, there was a standstill for 3 over weeks for my renovation. When FINALLY the carpentry date was finalised, it was delayed on the day of delivery itself.
I find that extremely ridiculous. The day of delivery then our contractor informed us that it will be delayed for a week.
Then we waited a week and guess what? This shit was delivered. Major fuck up by the contractor. The reno nightmare continues.
The cement base and granite top has been installed like in week 3? For some reason, the carpentry delivered was totally off. The oven is supposed to be aligned with the stove.
It’s been more than a week since this was spotted and till date, the contractor has yet to give us the next date to when this will be rectified despite daily chasers.
Yesterday, the hubby spotted this.
Our granite countertop has a crack. (which the contractor brushed it off as a chip/scratch). Considering the fact that he told us that granite was so sturdy that we could even dance on it, it is extremely disappointing to see this.
It has been over 14 weeks since we commenced our renovation. (We paid the second cheque at 15 November 2015 for carpentry FYI) and things has yet to be completed.
A small issue but seriously how dirty and rusty are these lightbulbs? The contractor said that he bought the lightbulbs the day before.
It’s really disappointing to see so many hiccups especially considering the amount of time that has passed. 14 weeks and counting. I wonder how long my total renovation will take.
Hopefully the next update will be a happier one. Though I highly doubt so. There seems to be hiccups every week.
