As some of you readers may remember, the girls and I have a Mystery Makan outing going on. Each of us would take turns planning makan outings and would only reveal the address on the day itself with no other details. With the Mystery Makan tradition, we visited new places and tried new food! It’s really fun and we all look forward to our Mystery Makan sessions.
I’m so glad that i thought of this! Here are some blog entries on our previous Mystery Makan sessions!
– My session at With A Pinch Of Salt
– Jacelyn’s session at Nanjya Monjya
– Esther’s session at Porn’s
– Fidel’s session at Barracks
– My session at Tea Cosy
– Jacelyn’s session at Box N Sticks
– Fidel’s session at Epicurious
– Jacelyn’s session at Queens Dessert Cafe Bistro
So… This time, it was my turn to organise! As you may have noticed from the previous posts, i always choose venues with interesting decor and this outing was no exception.
I chose Old School Delights after reading sixpeg’s blog! Also asked the girls to dress up to retro theme 😉
Bought a whole new outfit from Bugis Village and also bought a shirt for Ching Chong Boy to wear to the outing. I attempted a Twiggy eye look but failed terribly. Bah. I will share a proper outfit breakdown in my next Outfit of the day posts.
The boys all turned up in shirts. LOL! I guess guys have it tough trying the retro look 😡
Some pics of the lovely decor. The place had from toys to nice chalkboard pics…
Even the menu looks really “old school”! Coffee stain and all!
Fidel and Leon were late and naughty Ching Chong Boy wrote this message and we whatsapped them the pic 😡
Noticed the gameboy? That’s my iPhone cover! I tried to trick everyone thinking it was one of toys that Old School Delights provided us but none of them fell for the trick! Boo.
We ordered plenty of food! Old School Delight serves local fare.. Which i likened to pretty much “tuckshop” food.
These were some of the food that we ordered. Nothing special honestly.
It was really fun! Can’t wait for Esther’s turn!
If you’ll like to check out the place, here are the details:
