As some of you guys may remember, I talked about my love for babywearing a few entries back. Babywearing is easy and convenient. When I’m going out alone, I need not face the hassle of struggling with a stroller. Imagine taking a cab with a stroller and a baby. Holding the baby while folding the stroller and putting into the boot. Errr. I’ll definitely be damn kamchiong.
Babywearing also means I get to be handsfree. I can carry Aidan easily while shopping etc. Honestly babywearing helped me so much especially during my maternity leave when I was alone.
Especially now that Aidan finds it hard to keep still in a stroller, babywearing is a must-have.
During my pregnancy, I had researched on a number of carriers. I liked the idea of woven wraps and structured carriers. After observing many of my mama friends, I realised that Tula was a favourite amongst mamas.
I bought one way before Aidan was born. That was how kiasu I was.
Fast forward and Aidan was born and I tried Tula. Honestly the first time I tried it, I wasn’t so sure. I confided in a few mama friends that I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right. I mean, I’ve seen pics and videos but I wasn’t sure. They brought me to Bumwear at Plaza Singapure and the lovely ladies helped me adjust my carrier. I finally found what was making me uncomfortable and from there, babywearing was a breeze with Tula.
In fact, I love Tulas so much that I bought 4. Two canvas and two woven conversions. Hurhur.
Soon I began joining the Tula community on Facebook and joining both the Jujube and Tula gatherings.
When I got wind that Bumwear was organising a gathering with Ula (founder of Tula) who was coming to Singapore, I was excited. Managed to sign up for a slot to meet Ula herself. *fangirl moment*
It was lovely meeting other mamas and exchanging tips. Also gawking at the lovely Tulas from the lovely mamas.

I also loved seeing the other fellow papas babywearing. One thing that I’m really glad is that Skai is really supportive of babywearing. He also volunteers to babywear Aidan too!
It was also nice to finally meet Rita from Bumwear who was the main reason Ula came down to Singapore!
Also spot the lovely Jujubes at the event. Tulas and Jujubes go so well together!
I was crazy enough to sign up and pay for two session to meet with Ula! The first one was a cosier session with Tula Love Stocking Buddies where I used my wc Beluga Arctic. The second was a more casual setting where I decided to dress down and use my first canvas Alpaca Hearts with my customised accessories! Spot my love dinosaur hoodie!
Babywearing days are short and I hope to babywear Aidan as much as I can. I’ve yet to master latching in the Tula but I hope one day I will!
It’s crazy but I’m eyeing more Tulas! Like a mesh… and perhaps a fancy?! hahhaa.
None of these were sponsored. All of my Tulas and Jujubes are paid by myself. Not even by Skai. I genuinely love the products and the community.
Hope to go for more Tula and Jujube events!
