As you guys may have already guessed, I’m a huge cat lover! I love cats! I have cats since I was 7! But after the death of my last cat, we never did adopt or got another cat …
Honestly, it’s a bit hard for us as we were rather attached to the last two cats and till today, we’re still healing. It will take us a while before we could probably adopt another cat I guess?
Anyway….. when c(hubby) and I visited Korea for our wedding photoshoot, we decided to visit a Cat Cafe in Hongdae. We stopped by after our tea time at the Hello Kitty Cafe. I was actually meaning to find another Cat Cafe (I had visited Korea in February for work and managed to squeeze time to visit a Cat Cafe!) but found this instead!
As with most pet cafes, you’ll have to pay an “entrance fee” which will also includes a drink, if I remember correctly it was close to S$10.
One has to leave the shoes in the lockers provided and also to sterilise our hands before entering the cafe.
The cats practically roam free in the cafe. They WILL disturb your drinks, so do take care of your items!
We are not allowed to manhandle the cats and we can’t carry them. They’ll have to come to you willingly.
The cats are quite nua and aren’t very active. So we had to resort to tsk tsking them and trying to catch their attention with toys.
The orange kitty is not impressed by our meagre offering.
I had to resort to well… photobombing the cats. Hiding behind them and taking pics.
We felt like we struck TOTO when 2 cats leisurely strolled to us and nonchalantly plopped themselves into our laps.
SCORE!
THANK YOU DEAR CAT GOD!
And of course, the cats soon strolled away. Nonetheless it was a fantastic experience for us. Well, for me. The c(hubby) is well.. neutral to animals.
