It’s been a while since my last yoga update but I have to be honest, I been rather naughty. I was so busy with wedding planning that I neglected going to Updog Studio for weeks before my wedding.
Boy did I regretted it.
I felt sluggish, bloated and cranky. Honestly speaking, yoga really calms me down. When I feel very pekchek, a good yoga lesson banishes all worries away.
Now that I’m back yoga-ing, I feel so much happier! Seriously!
A month or so ago, I brought the c(hubby) for a trial lesson at Updog Studio Big Splash. Like all the men I brought to Updog Studio previously, he had the misconception that yoga was a “stretch here stretch there” and “won’t burn much unlike cardio” type of sport. The c(hubby) loves sports, he loves football, running and high impact sports. But he was up for a challenge when I told him yoga isn’t how he perceived it to be.
AND of course, bribery works. :p
Let’s just say a “happy wife = happy life”. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Before yoga, the mandatory meal. MUST eat the maggi mee goreng. Happy c(hubby)!
I showed him this and he was extremely excited. Unfortunately for him, I reminded him that the maggi meegoreng was well, counter productive. LOL.
All ready for our lesson! I chose Hot 26 for him. I could have “cheated” and chose a non-heated class but I thought might as well choose a class I really enjoy so that he knows how it’s like for me!
Hot 26 is basically traditional Hot Yoga which incorporates 26 postures and two breathing exercises. Perfect for beginners.
After the lesson! Super shiok! I love working out a good sweat and I feel really good after every yoga lesson!
What did the c(hubby) think? He felt the heat was hot but bearable! He loved the stretches and felt that it really loosened up his muscles a lot especially that he felt it was really tight after running and football!
Did he enjoy himself?
YES HE DID! I think he did best amongst all of my first timer male friends that I brought to Updog Studio!
Would he go for lessons? He said yes if I sponsored him. Pfffft! KNS he! He says he should go in my place since most of my blog content is writing about him so people won’t be reading if it wasn’t for him.
T.T
WHY MY HUBBY SO THICK SKINNED ONE?!
MEH!
Anyway, I went for the Yoga for Runners workshop with BFF sometime back!
The perfect outfit for the workshop! My top says “Running my ass off!”
I was actually nursing a very very bad cold that day and normally I don’t exercise when I’m sick especially with a cold but I couldn’t give up on this workshop!
But this workshop combined my two loves! Running AND Yoga!
In the end, I took it slow and also informed the instructor on my condition. We went for a run before the yoga part of the workshop!
The workshop was a tad different from my usual Hot 26 lessons but it really felt so good! I felt it was a bit more strenuous on my core.
Much love to my BFF who kept encouraging me! <3 We call our yoga lessons #bffyoga! Exercising is more fun with company!
