I first found out about babywearing from a girlfriend of mine, Elaine. (She’s one of my bridesmaids!)
When I thought about the whole concept of babywearing, I was extremely excited! I knew that during my maternity period, Skai will be back to work.
Coupled with the fact that I didn’t had help (also, cos I stubbornly did not ask for any, hurhur), babywearing would really help make my life so much easier!
And it did! I do have a stroller which is amazeballs but going out alone and taking taxis, were a bit cumbersome for me. I usually use strollers when my hubby drives and he’s around to help.
With babywearing, be it using an adjustable sling pouch or a ringsling or a woven wrap or a soft structured carrier, it’s extremely easy to handle it yourself.
I’m a huge fan of soft structured carriers, they are easy to use and pretty much fuss free.
Plus Aidan loves them! Plenty of sleepy dust in them!
Skai also loves using them! He can eat and drink easily using it!
Now that Aidan does not require an infant insert anymore, it is so much more comfortable! Not as hot as previously before.
I’ve discovered that the woven conversion soft structured carriers are way more comfy than the canvas ones. So soft!!!!! <3
Am trying my hand at woven wraps and while it’s a different ballgame altogether, I’m up for the challenge!
Trying my best to master the technique. If I fail… well, there’s still a lovely rainbow wrap for me to use in other ways. hahhaha
Do you like babywearing as much as I do? Please share! If there are any brands that you’ll like to recommend, do let me know. Am always keen to try new ones, well…. as much as my pocket can afford it. Carriers are so expensive! LOL
