I was invited by the kind folks from Angsana Bintan to experience their Bintan Ultimate Chill Out – All Day Beach Party last month. Needless to say, I brought along Skai aka c(hubby) and also suggested that Esther to come along too!
After a quick ferry ride which we departed from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, we were soon in Bintan!
I’ve been to Bintan quite a couple of times, to Bintan Lagoon twice and also to Club Med Bintan for our “engagement-moon” and I love how convenient it is to travel to Bintan. If you’re tired of Staycations in Singapore and would like a quick getaway that isn’t Malaysia, Batam or Bintan would be your best shot!
We checked into this lovely Deluxe Queen Room that had the view of the pool. We liked that there was a balcony. That night, we sat at the balcony, enjoying the welcome fruit basket and live music.
The trip was basically to introduce to us about their Chill Out Party and the various activities that were free for the guests.
After enjoying a delicious lunch, we headed to the beach.
I enjoyed the ATV ride on the beach where yours truly was a reckless driver. I kept speeding and Skai kept yelling at me. Bah.
Jeraldine and I while waiting for our turns on the Jet Ski.
We also had fun with the jet ski. The last time that I was on one was like in 2005 in Phuket? This was the first time that I drove though! And needless to say, I got yelled by Skai for speeding. Again. -____-”
We also enjoyed a comfortable shoulder massage on the beach which helped to loosen up my uber tense muscles.
I took a nap by the pool and it was extremely enjoyable to take things slow. I’m not sure if some of you guys know this but I left my previous workplace after 3.5 years there and tried something new. It’s different and I’m still taking time adjusting to the change. There are so many things to learn and I was feeling a bit stressed. I was glad that this trip came in time. Great opportunity for me to relax. And also, not think about work.
We soon freshened up and it was time for the sumptuous Bbq dinner by the beach.
A very generous dinner was prepared in front of us with a wide variety of various drinks. Skai had the mojito while I opted for a margarita.
Not only were there good food and drinks, there was a deejay AND fireworks! The music was good but we were a bit shy to dance :p
Buffet breakfast before departing.
Thank you Angsana Bintan for hosting us!
Updated: Just read that Hotels in Bintan no longer accepting Singapore Dollars. From now, all cash transactions would have to be in Indonesian Rupiah. Do take note for those traveling to Bintan!
